Many a philosopher and scientist has indeed pondered the questions "What is that on Scott Steiner's chest?" Well, I believe the answer is simple. The object on Scott Steiner's chest is a bio-mechanical power supply, which is what enables Steiner to freely wreak havoc upon his enemies. Without this device, Steiner would need some sort of external power source, possibly a giant plug which is inserted into his backside, to power his movements.
All those who get the joke qualify to wear T-Shirts that proudly label them as a "Nerd".
